In ARC Raiders, the hideout is where your runs start to make sense. It's not just storage and a workbench loop. Once you put time into the Explosives Station, you feel it out in the field—machines back off, fights end quicker, and you've got options when things go sideways. If you're planning your scav routes, it also helps to keep an eye on what counts as ARC Raiders Items you actually need, not just whatever looks shiny in a crate.
Tier 1: The basics you'll actually use
The Level 1 upgrade is the easy on-ramp, but it still asks you to loot with intent. Rubber Parts tend to show up where you'd expect: industrial corners, maintenance closets, dusty factory rooms that nobody wants to clear twice. ARC Alloy is more hands-on. You'll get it by breaking down the smaller ARC units you can handle early without burning all your meds. Once the station's running, craft the simple stuff right away—gas grenades and impact grenades. They're not fancy, but they're great for forcing space, breaking a push, or getting a clean escape line.
Tier 2: Spaceport runs and the fuel problem
For Level 2, you're looking for Synthesized Fuel, Crude Explosives, and Pop Triggers. This is usually where people stall, mostly because fuel doesn't drop when you want it to. The Spaceport is your friend here, especially Rocket Assembly. I like starting high on the assembly structure, because that machine vehicle up there has a habit of coughing up Synthesized Fuel. Then sweep the nearby lockers and crates before you rotate out. Crude Explosives and Pop Triggers show up often enough that you can stack them fast if you stop skipping containers out of impatience.
Tier 3: High-risk shopping lists and hunting Rocketeers
Level 3 asks for Laboratory Reagents, Explosive Compound, and a Rocketeer Driver. Reagents are the "grab and go" item: the pharmacy in Piazza Arbusto in the Buried City is a classic stop, since they sit on shelves and you can scoop them fast. Just assume someone heard you. Explosive Compound is more of a grind, so I rotate Hydroponic Complex and Water Treatment Center and check every locker, even the ones that feel pointless. The Rocketeer Driver is different—you earn it. Find a Rocketeer ARC unit, use cover, break line of sight, and don't be stingy with the grenades you already crafted.
What maxing it out changes
Once the station's fully upgraded, the whole rhythm of extraction shifts. Advanced mines and heavier explosives let you lock down angles, punish greedy pushes, and buy time when a fight drags into the open. It's also one of the few upgrades that feels immediately "real" on every run, not just on your inventory screen, and if you're trying to speed up progress or fill gaps in your crafting loop, it can help to buy ARC Raiders Items in U4gm so you're spending more time raiding and less time scrounging for that one missing part.
