The Game Management Policy is the publisher's rulebook for Kal Online. It runs to eleven sections: general rules, account and registration, user responsibility, the restraint policy, character names, character recall, illegal programs and bug abuse, fraud, reporting, GM activity, and restoration and reward. This post pulls the parts players actually hit: what gets you blocked, how to report, and how long you have to claim something back.
Restraint without warning
The GM team can block without warning in these cases:
- trading characters or items for real cash or for another game's goods
- profanity against GM or other users
- abusing a GM, spreading rumours to incriminate another user
- national, racial or religious discrimination
- abusing a bug and harming the game services
- spamming with a macro
- using an illegal program or link
- trading items, including Zamogeon, for real money
- trading an account or character for real money or items
The published table grades by offence and by strike number:
- Insult: temporary block, longer than the first, permanent block
- Impersonating GMs and staff: permanent block
- Impersonating relatives: 7 days, 15 days, permanent block
- Disregard of a GM's warning or interruption of game operation: 7 days, then permanent block
- Illegal trade: temporary block, longer than the first, permanent block
- Illegal name or character: warning and name change, 3 days, deletion of the character
- Guild emblem, meaning the guild master: blocking the guild master and disbanding the guild
- Kalcash: credit card fraud or illegal settlement for charging Kalcash, permanent block
- System: abusing bug and system, hacking an account, spreading rumours, using an illegal program or fraud
Reporting, and the 3 day screenshot rule
- GMs only accept screenshots, and they check inside the game directly
- Screenshots with unrecognisable text, or fixed screenshots, are not accepted
- Screenshots older than 3 days from the reporting date are rejected; if you report several times, the last screenshot sets the date
- A false report made to incriminate someone can get your account permanently blocked
- For a chat insult the screenshot must be full size and carry the INIXSOFT mark, or it has no effect
Bug abuse examples the page lists: using a bug for items or EXP, hunting monsters that do not attack because of a system error, profiting by repeatedly trading an item below its purchase price, and creating or duplicating items and Zamogeon through a system error. Using or advertising an illegal program, or modifying the client or its website, brings a block from a few days to permanent, and client modification is permanent. The fraud section is blunt: the publisher says responsibility for real money trade, inside the game or out, belongs to the victim, and GM does not intervene.
Restoration windows
- Hacking-related character or item loss must be reported within 10 days of the occurrence, with server, character ID, time and the lost items
- A character can be restored within 7 days of deletion, and only if it was level 10 or higher
- An account cannot be restored 6 months after deletion
- Items normally traded, destroyed or sold to an NPC cannot be restored
- GMs cannot restore enchantments or add-ons
- Anything blocked permanently under the agreement or the Kalcash agreement cannot be refunded
Account sharing and account trading are not allowed. Traded accounts and characters are permanently blocked and deleted, and the policy treats sharing or trading as giving up ownership, so the publisher will not take a reclaim request even from the real owner. Only Gold members can ask the company for help with account problems.
FAQ
1. Will GM move my stuck character? Only in the recall cases the page lists: stuck in an area, a warning after continuous illegal play, or an operational need.
2. Can I report a real money trader and get my items back? The policy says GM does not intervene in real money trade, so no.
3. How do I report? Through the C/S center with screenshots, and keep them inside the 3 day window.
4. What decides a block length? The restraint table and the strike count, and the page says provisions can change with the situation.
5. Can I claim a lost enchantment? No, GMs cannot restore enchantments or add-ons.
