Kal Online Suffering Valley: the Saturday battle window, the 30,000 geon fee, the encampment, and the monster roster
Suffering Valley is the third battleground in Kal Online's Scenario 3 set. Two guilds are matched against each other in a valley full of monsters, and the side that kills more of them takes the round. It is the only one of the three that is a kill race. Destructing Key Points is a tower fight and Protecting Leader is a leader protection match, so this one rewards a different roster.

Matching is by guild grade and the bands are the same across the Scenario 3 content:

Schedule
- Guild registration: Friday 23:00 to Saturday 00:00
- Guild matching announced: Saturday 00:00 to 00:10
- Member registration: Saturday 00:10 to 00:50
- Battle time: Saturday 01:00 to 02:00
- The application costs 30,000 geon and it is not refunded even if your guild is not matched.
- Minimum 6 and maximum 80 participants.
- If fewer than 10 guild members register, the guild is marked as abstaining.
- All guilds that applied are matched. If matching fails for lack of opponents, no reward is paid.
- Registration and member selection are done by the guild master or a sub-master through the Gold Doggebi NPC at the entrance of the Doggebi Tower.
- Registered characters are summoned automatically 5 minutes before the match and moved to the waiting area.
Matching is by guild grade and the bands are the same across the Scenario 3 content:
- Champion: rank 1 to 10
- Master: rank 11 to 20
- Veteran: rank 21 to 30
- Beginner: rank 31 and below
How the battle runs
- The remaining time and the score UI are shown when the battle starts, and monsters spawn across the battle area.
- A killed monster respawns after a set time, and stronger monsters appear as the battle goes on.
- A dead character is revived automatically in the safe zone, or can be revived with a scroll of rebirth or a skill. There is no death penalty.
- You can build an encampment in the battle area with Encampment building items. While it stands, nearby allies get a defence bonus, and it disappears after 3 minutes.
- Killing an enemy character earns 30 points per kill, up to 3,500 points. The honor points behind those kill points vary by character class.
Three troop sets appear, and the levels climb as the battle progresses:
- Tobyong (Lv 78): throws mud or stone. Tobyong magician (Lv 85) uses a stone stick. Tobyong giant (Lv 95, boss) hits the ground with a stone pillar to paralyze, and can call nearby troops and magicians.
- Noktoo soldier (Lv 90): fast movement, attacks with armor and spear, and hits in groups. Noktoo magician (Lv 97) uses a magic stick. Noktoo assassin (Lv 105) carries two swords and hides in reflected sunlight, and cannot be hit while invisible. Noktoo general (Lv 110, boss) uses a huge hammer, raises gold needles from the ground with magic, and summons more troops by planting green beans.
- Bogy rider (Lv 105): rides a wolf and uses an ex made from skulls. Bogy archer (Lv 112) attacks at range with a suk-goong. Bogy captain (Lv 120) uses a spear charged with cold energy. Bogy general (Lv 125, boss) uses spear and shield, calls thunder when he raises his spear, and can call a backup attack from the sky that falls as an arrow rain.
- Winner: 3,000 honor points
- Loser: 200 honor points
- Withdraw: 1,500 honor points
- Killing an opponent: 30 x (Class + 1), capped at 3,500
- Activity points from kills, support, skill use and monster killing are capped at 3,000 on top of the 3,500 kill cap
