Kal Online Castle Siege: the level 70 entry, the Friday declaration, the Sunday siege, and the four flags
Posted: Thu Oct 22, 2026 8:04 am
Quick summary
The siege system consists of a declaration period, a preparation period, and a siege period. The clock runs on a weekly cycle:
Defense and attack registration
Defense is the easy side. Even if you did not apply for the defense guild that acquired the last name, you are automatically registered with the defense alliance guild and the defense side list.
Attack is the side you sign up for. Click the Guard NPC in the occupied area, click the Declaration of the war button to open the siege interface, then click the Castle Siege Request button, select Attack Side, and click Select Faction to be registered on the attacking side list.
Three restrictions are worth knowing before you plan a guild run. All departments other than the defense department and the defense alliance department can apply for the attack side. The application can only be made by the alliance leader, and only the corresponding guild leader can participate with the guild alone. And the application is only possible during the declaration period, so a guild that waits until Sunday has already missed it.
Getting in
Participation is only available for ten minutes, from 00:50 to 01:00, and admission is not allowed after that. Once the siege starts, participants cannot leave the Castle Siege area and cannot move to the character selection window. If you are forced to quit and reconnect, you are moved to your faction's resurrection point, and the activity points and enemy kill scores you had before the disconnect are reset.
The flags
There are four flags, one big flag and three small flags. You get 50 points for capturing a large flag and 30 points for capturing a small one. At the end of the siege, the camp with the higher score wins. If it ends in a tie, the defense camp wins.
There is also an early end condition. Once ten minutes have passed since the siege started, if one side captures all four flags and holds them for five minutes, the siege ends and that side wins.
Who becomes castle lord
The castle lord sets the tax rate, and there are three settings. Low tax is 95 percent, described as Leader for the People. Middle tax is 100 percent, described as Leader of coordination and harmony. High tax is 110 percent, described as a tyrant who wants to become stronger himself.
Castle Siege Buff is paid out based on the attack side's kill/death ratio, regardless of the number of defenders, and the type can change or be cancelled during the siege.

Who becomes castle lord
- Step 1, flag score. The alliance leader of the alliance with the highest flag score among the flags owned by each alliance becomes the castle lord.
- Step 2, kill points. If flag scores are tied, the alliance with more kill points takes it.
- Step 3, average level. If kill points are also tied, the alliance with the highest average level takes it. The average is the total level of participating alliance members divided by the number of participating members, measured at siege end.
