Volcanic Basin Battleground is a team PvP mode where the winner is decided by flags, not by kills. Each team fields up to 30 players, so a full match has 60 people in it. Registration opens at level 100 and runs on a Monday window in Korean time, and the whole thing lasts about 30 minutes. Points come only from capturing flags, killing enemy players scores nothing. This post covers who can enter, when it runs, how the scoring works, what you get paid, and the rules that get people kicked.
What the mode is
Volcanic Basin Battleground is a new PvP mode in which victory is achieved by capturing more flags than the opposing team. Each team can have up to 30 players, with a maximum of 60 players participating in a single battleground. There is no participant limit for the mode, so all applicants are able to join. The publisher describes it as a mode added after King Hanin took the throne and a new sky opened, with King Chiwoo holding a mock training exercise against the Hwasan tribe.
Who can enter and where
Registration is available starting at level 100. You register through the Manager of Volcanic Basin Battleground in the Village of Narootuh. Entry happens through the Move pop-up that appears 5 minutes before the match begins. If you do not enter within those 5 minutes, you are automatically transported to the battleground when the match starts. Entry is not allowed once the match has begun.
Inside the lobby you choose between the Eastern Starting Point and the Western Starting Point through an NPC.

- If you do not move from the lobby to the battlefield, a warning message is displayed.
- If you fail to enter the battlefield within 1 minute, you are automatically removed.
- A player removed this way cannot re-enter the match.
- If you reconnect after an unexpected disconnection during the battle, you can resume from the lobby.
- Moving Scrolls, Teleport Scrolls and Recall Scrolls cannot be used in the battleground.
- The Save Location list is also unavailable.
Can I join with fewer than 30 people on my team? The mode has no participant limit and all applicants can join, so the teams fill up to 30 each. A full battleground is 60 players.
Does getting kills help my team win? No. Defeating enemy players does not increase your score. Only capturing flags earns points.
What happens if a flag we captured gets destroyed? Points are deducted and control of that flag is lost.
Can I leave and come back if I disconnect? Yes, if the disconnection was unexpected. You resume from the lobby. Dying or leaving on purpose does not give re-entry.
Why did I get no reward even though my team won? Active points decide the extra rewards. They come from defeating enemies, using skills and capturing flags, and there is a threshold below which no reward is given.
What time does it run for me? Registration is Monday 00:00 to 00:49 KST, matching is 00:50 to 00:59, and the battle runs 01:00 to 01:30.
