Kal Online guild system: how to create a guild, how guild points and ranks work, and what the buffs give you
Quick summary
  • A guild costs 100,000 Zamogeon to create and the leader must be level 30 or higher. Names are limited to 7 Korean characters or 14 English characters.
  • Guild points come from levelling up, from staying connected, and from members reaching level 20 and beyond. The total is capped at 2 billion.
  • Guild level decides capacity and unlocks. Level 4 is where Castle Siege, territory occupation and alliances open up.
  • Every guild level from 1 to 10 carries a buff, and the buff grows with the level. Unlocking it is automatic from the moment you join.
  • A guild that drops below its minimum member count loses some systems until it recruits back up to the line.
What a guild is for

The official guide describes a guild as the smallest unit that takes part in Castle Siege. A guild exists to occupy an area and to benefit from the economy of that area, which is why the level requirements are tied to member count rather than to the leader's strength alone.

Creating a guild

There are two routes. You can apply through the NPC administrative bureaucracy, or open the Guild button in the upper UI and use Create Guild. The conditions the guide lists are:
  • Cost: 100,000 Zamogeon.
  • Leader condition: level 30 or higher.
  • Guild name: limited to 7 Korean characters and 14 English characters.
  • Applicants can apply from the NPC administrative bureaus or from the Guild window regardless of their party.
Guild points and how they accumulate

Guild points are the currency of guild growth, and the guide breaks the earning rules down:
  • Levels 1 to 19: 1 guild point for every level up.
  • Level 20 and above: guild points accumulate as your level minus 10. The guide's example is reaching level 34, which gives 24 guild points.
  • Staying connected: 10 points per hour while you are logged in.
  • Cap: total earned points are limited to 2 billion.
Guild levels, capacity and unlocks

Guilds start at level 1. The guide's table gives the capacity and the authority that comes with each level:
  • Level 1: 12 members, no special authority.
  • Level 2: 26 members, guild naming system.
  • Level 3: 40 members, guild flag system.
  • Level 4: 54 members, Castle Siege proclamation, territory occupation, alliances.
  • Levels 5 to 10: 70, 90, 110, 130, 130 and 130 members.
  • Maximum temporary members: 10, regardless of guild level.
The guide notes the requirements may change with the planned schedule, so treat the numbers as the current published values rather than a permanent promise.

The buff table

Buff compensation applies from the moment you join the guild, and it scales with guild level:
  • Level 1: Physical Attack 15, Magical Attack 15, Hit Point 30, HP 100, EXP 1 percent.
  • Level 2: Physical Attack 30, Magical Attack 30, Hit Point 60, HP 200, EXP 1 percent.
  • Level 3: Physical Attack 45, Magical Attack 45, Hit Point 90, HP 300, EXP 2 percent.
  • Level 4: Physical Attack 60, Magical Attack 60, Hit Point 120, HP 400, EXP 2 percent.
  • Level 5: Physical Attack 75, Magical Attack 75, Hit Point 150, HP 500, EXP 3 percent.
  • Level 6: Physical Attack 90, Magical Attack 90, Hit Point 180, HP 600, EXP 3 percent.
  • Level 7: Physical Attack 105, Magical Attack 105, Hit Point 210, HP 700, EXP 4 percent.
  • Level 8: Physical Attack 120, Magical Attack 120, Hit Point 240, HP 800, EXP 4 percent.
  • Level 9: Physical Attack 135, Magical Attack 135, Hit Point 270, HP 900, EXP 5 percent.
  • Level 10: Physical Attack 150, Magical Attack 150, Hit Point 300, HP 1000, EXP 5 percent.
There is also a daily attendance box in the My Guild tab. The guide says guilds are paid one box per day regardless of level, and the amount inside is random.

Joining, leaving and the 24 hour rule
  • Search for a guild in the Guild window under the Guild Rank tab. You can search for similar names without typing the exact name.
  • Click Subscribe on a guild in the list to send an application.
  • You can apply to several guilds at once and you join whichever approves you first.
  • Applications that sit for one week are deleted automatically.
  • A character who has left a guild cannot join another guild for 24 hours.
  • To leave, use the Unsubscribe button in the My Guild tab.
Guild ranks inside the guild

The leader can assign ranks to members. The guide lists five positions:
  • Leader: full control over the guild.
  • Sub-Leader: second in command, and the default recipient when the leader hands over.
  • HeadChief: one appointment allowed per 50 members.
  • Chief: one appointment allowed per 10 members.
  • OfficialMember: a fully recognised member of the guild.
Rank can also be changed by number, from 1 to 5, instead of by name. The guide's example is the command form for promoting a character to rank 3.

Minimum members and the penalty

A guild must keep the required contribution for its grade. If it falls short, some systems get restricted:
  • Level 1: 12 members.
  • Level 2: 26 members.
  • Level 3: 40 members.
  • Level 4: 54 members.
  • Levels 5 to 10: 70, 90, 110, 130, 130 and 130 members.
At level 2 and 3 the penalty is losing the guild name display and the flag. At levels 4 to 10 the penalty is wider: the name display goes, the flag goes, Castle Siege becomes unavailable, and the guild cannot collect local taxes from an occupied area. The guide says the penalty lifts once a new member joins and the minimum line is met again.

Guild Raid

Guild Raid runs from the Raid menu in My Guild. Before you can start one you have to donate resources to raise the raid level to 1 or higher, using Guild Raid Resource Scrolls owned by guild members. The leader donates the resources the guild has collected.
  • Required resources by raid level: level 0 needs 120, level 1 needs 260, level 2 needs 400, level 3 needs 540, level 4 needs 550, level 5 needs 560, level 6 needs 570.
  • A higher raid level means a stronger boss and a better reward.
  • If the summoned boss is defeated, the raid level resets to zero.
  • Raid scrolls come from a daily quest at the Guild Raid Resource Magic Power Manager in Natootuh Village, and can also be exchanged for Pieces of Raid resource gathered in fields or dungeons.
  • A raid can be run once a day, or more often if you spend Jewels.
  • You must enter through the raid area teleport manager or accept the guild master's summon. Recall scrolls, teleport scrolls and location move scrolls will not get you in.
  • You need at least five guild members to summon the boss. It appears in the centre of the raid area after 60 seconds and must be killed within 15 minutes.
What happens when the leader goes quiet

The leader can hand the guild to the Sub-Leader through the Transfer Guild Leader menu at the NPC administrative bureaucracy. There is also an automatic succession path in the My Guild delegation tab. When it triggers, the current leader is demoted to OfficialMember and the successor becomes leader.

The succession conditions depend on how long the leader has been offline:
  • 14 days offline: a Sub-Leader can succeed.
  • 15 days offline: a Sub-Leader or a HeadChief can succeed.
  • 16 days offline: a Sub-Leader, HeadChief or Chief can succeed.
  • 17 days offline: any of those ranks or an OfficialMember can succeed.
