Quick summary

Kal Online ran its regular Tuesday maintenance on 20 October 2026 from 09:40 to 11:40 KST. The Korean patch note lists four things: a fix for the channel error that appeared on 13 October, a 24 hour guild rejoin lock after a guild leaves or is dissolved, a login fix for accounts whose data was not being saved, and a beginner guide refresh that now updates on level up. There is also an October Infernal Seal Chest update with details on the promotion page.[1]

The English service announcement for the 15 October maintenance is a week behind the Korean one, and the two line up: same client fixes, same anti-cheat and data consistency work, and an Immortal Relic Chest update in place of the Infernal Seal Chest.[2] Both are worth reading together, because the Korean page is where the numbers live and the English page is what most players actually see.

Maintenance window

Kal Online runs maintenance every Tuesday from 09:40 to 11:40 KST, which is GMT+9.[2] The Korean site states the same window in local time.[1] Plan around it rather than against it. The site also warns that web page access can be intermittent during the window, so the patch note and the promotion page may not load while the servers are down.[1]

Guild rule: the 24 hour lock

After a guild is kicked out, expelled, or dissolved, joining a guild or creating one is blocked for 24 hours.[1]

The wording covers three separate events. A guild being disbanded by its own members counts, a guild being dissolved by staff counts, and a character being kicked out of a guild counts. All three start the same 24 hour clock.[1]

That makes Tuesday a bad day to restructure a guild. If your guild ends at 11:40 on a Tuesday, you cannot have a replacement running until the same time on Wednesday. If you are planning a merge or a split, do it before the maintenance window, not after it.

Beginner guide refresh

The beginner guide is the in-game window that walks a new character through the early levels. Before this patch it did not refresh when you levelled up with it open, so it kept showing you the step for your previous level.[1]

Fixed on 20 October. The guide now updates on level up while it is open.[1] If you are levelling a fresh character, you no longer have to close and reopen the window to get the next instruction.

The beginner guide content itself was updated earlier in the month, on 8 October, which is a separate change from this bug fix.[2]

Client and login fixes
  • Intermittent login failures where account information was not being saved have been fixed.[1]
  • The channel error that appeared on 13 October has been fixed.[1]
  • Characters clipping into the ground when dismounting a battle horse have been fixed.[3]
  • Character motion occasionally appearing out of sync between different game clients has been fixed.[3]
  • An issue causing intermittent game crashes has been fixed.[3]
  • Client patching can now be applied without closing an already open client.[2]
The login fix is the one that reads small and matters. An account whose information was not saved on login can look like a broken client or a bad patch, and losing settings on every login is the kind of thing that gets blamed on the wrong thing. That was a server side save issue, and it was fixed on 20 October.[1]

Data and security work
  • The anti-cheat and anti-fraud systems were further advanced.[3]
  • User data consistency verification logic was improved.[3]
  • The game security system was also updated in the 8 October patch.[2]
Kal Online does not publish what these updates detect, so treat them as a statement that the systems changed rather than a list of behaviours they now catch. If you are curious about a specific behaviour, the patch note will not tell you.[3]

Shop and UI changes
  • The Kal Shop purchase button was updated.[2]
  • Once you select an item to buy, you can choose Exchange or Gift alongside the item information.[2]
This is a small usability change, but it is the kind that gets used without being noticed. Choosing Exchange or Gift now happens on the item itself instead of hunting for a separate button.[2]

October chest updates

The 20 October Korean patch note points to an October Infernal Seal Chest update, with the details on the promotion page.[1] The 15 October English patch note has the Immortal Relic Chest update with the same pointer.[3] Both send you to a promotion page for the specifics, so the chest contents are not in the patch note itself.[1][3]

What to do on Tuesday
  • Log out before 09:40 KST if you are mid-run. The window is two hours and web access is unreliable during it.[1]
  • Do not plan a guild disband, a kick, or a guild switch for the maintenance day. The 24 hour lock starts the moment it happens.[1]
  • If your beginner guide looked stuck at an old level, confirm it now follows your level. That was fixed.[1]
  • If you lost account information on login, the fix is in this patch. Log in after 11:40 KST and confirm your settings persisted.[1]
  • Check the promotion page for the current chest before spending anything on it. The patch note does not list the contents.[1]
  • Read the Korean update page as well as the English one. The English announcement trails the Korean site by about a week.[1][3]
Common mistakes
  • Assuming the English patch note is current. The English service posts lag the Korean site, and the 20 October Korean patch has no English equivalent yet.[1][3]
  • Trying to start or join a guild the same day your old one ended. The 24 hour lock applies to both.[1]
  • Reading the chest name change as a balance change. It is a promotion update, and the contents live on the promotion page.[1][3]
  • Blaming the client for a login that forgets your account. That was a server side data save issue, fixed on 20 October.[1]
  • Dismissing the anti-cheat note as filler. It is not filler, but it is also not a description, so do not infer new detection rules from it.[3]
