Kal Online party bonus: how Perfect Party works, the 20 percent experience buff, and how to build a full party

Kal Online rewards a party where every member plays a different class. It is one of the few systems in the game that pays out purely for group composition, and it is easy to miss because the buff switches on by itself. This covers what a Perfect Party requires, what the buff actually does, and how to put a party together.

What Perfect Party is

The game divides its job classes into 11 categories. A Perfect Party is a full party of 8 members where every member is a different class. Members can be in their second job or their third job, but everyone has to be second job or above.

The job classes named on the official page include Knight, Archer, Magician, Thief, Shaman, and Sword Trickster, each with the job paths branching from them.

Because you need eight distinct classes, a Perfect Party is almost never a pickup group. It is the kind of thing you arrange with your guild or a regular group of friends, and it is worth the planning.

The party bonus

As soon as a Perfect Party forms, the Perfect Party buff activates on its own. Members under the buff gain an additional 20 percent experience from monster hunts. The official page states that the Perfect Party effect can be applied together with the Stone of EXP effect.

The buff switches off when the Perfect Party is dismissed. Leaving the party, or dropping below eight distinct classes, ends it.

What the buff does not cover

The official description ties the bonus to experience gained from monster hunts. It does not describe a separate bonus for quest experience, so treat the 20 percent as hunt experience. If you are grinding a quest chain, the party bonus may not be the reason the run felt faster.

Building a Perfect Party
  1. Pick eight different classes before you invite anyone. The class list is the constraint, not the level.
  2. Check that everyone is second job or above. A first job character does not count toward the eight.
  3. Mix second and third job characters freely. Both are allowed.
  4. Form the party and stay together while you hunt. The buff follows the party, not the location.
  5. If someone leaves, replace them before the buff stops being worth the trouble.
