Kal Online weapon enhancement: element stones, imperial upgrades, and success rates

Kal Online has multiple systems for enhancing weapons, each with different materials, success rates, and effects. Understanding these systems is essential for building a strong character.

Element stones
There are 11 element stones in total. Nine of them enhance weapons up to item level 2, and the remaining two enhance weapons from item level 2 to item level 3. Element stones can be found on some monsters and are used at the Mix System NPC in the Pub of the Giant Bird.

Element stone effects

• Stone of Shadow: HP +20, STR +2, INT +2, AGI +2 (level 1)
• Stone of Holy: MP +20, WIS +2, Health +2 (level 1)
• Stone of Flame: Fire damage with 5% probability (level 1)
• Stone of Ice: Ice damage with 5% probability (level 1)
• Stone of Lightning: Lightning damage with 5% probability + 10 defense reduction (level 1)
• Stone of Poison: Poison with 5% probability (level 1)
• Stone of Paralysis: Paralyze with 5% probability (level 1)
• Stone of Strength: HP +10%, MP -5% (level 1)
• Stone of Skill: HP -5%, MP +10% (level 1)
• Stone of Mystery: Min/Max damage +50 (level 3, requires weapon at level 2)
• Stone of Demon's Blood: HP +50, MP +50, STR +6, INT +6, AGI +6, WIS +10, Health +10 (level 3, requires weapon at level 2)

Imperial upgrade (weapon improvement)
The imperial upgrade increases the base damage of a weapon and changes its appearance. It requires the main weapon, another weapon, armor, and 2 item tiles of the same kind. The success rate depends on the weapon level:

• Weapon level 40-45: 10% success
• Weapon level 48-50: 7% success
• Weapon level 53: 5% success
• Weapon level 56: 4% success
• Weapon level 59-65: 3% success
• Weapon level 70+: 2% success

Failure consequences
If an enhancement attempt fails:

• All used element stones are destroyed
• The weapon loses durability
• If the weapon has too low durability, it breaks on failure
• The weapon itself is retained (except in specific cases)

Soul of Craftsman
The Soul of Craftsman is a cash item that can restore a weapon or armor part that was destroyed by enhancement failure. It can be used within 7 days of destruction and up to 3 times per item. It costs 490 GA Cash and is available from the KalSHOP.

Tips for enhancement

• Always check your weapon durability before attempting an enhancement
• Use fixing tools to increase durability before enhancing
• Start with low-level weapons to learn the system
• Save your best materials for high-level weapons
• Consider using the Soul of Craftsman as a safety net for valuable items
