Kal Online Knight job tree: Wandering Knight, Apprentice Knight, Commander, General, and God of Sword

The Knight is Kal Online's melee class, and it fights in close combat with no ranged attacks to fall back on. Every fight is a decision about when to commit and when to hold. This guide walks the full job tree with the official skill names, levels, and cooldowns so you can plan your build before you spend a single point.

The job tree

The Knight line runs six jobs, and the path splits twice. [1]
  • 1. Wandering Knight. Strong at infighting, but not specialized at offense or defense.
  • 2. Apprentice Knight. The first real step, where you learn the basic knight skills.
  • 3. Commander. Specialty on defense, with offense that is about average.
  • 4. Vagabond Swordman. The mirror image: specialty on offense, defense about average.
  • 5. General. Defense again, plus skills that raise the whole group's abilities.
  • 6. God of Sword. Battle skills go mostly on offense and give up some defense. Weapon management is excellent, but shield and armor skills have limits.
[1] Commander and Vagabond Swordman are the third-job options, and General and God of Sword are the two final jobs. [1]

What carries over

Every job tier from Apprentice Knight upward keeps the same three passives: Weapon Expert for attack power, Sober Judgment for critical rate, and Seize The Opportunity for critical damage. [2][3][4][5][6] They get stronger as you climb, so they are worth leveling on every job, not just your favorite one.

Which path to pick

Pick Commander into General if you want to be the group's wall: chants, shield skills, and a revive. [3][5] Pick Vagabond Swordman into God of Sword if you want to be the group's damage: stuns, charges, and party-wide attack shouts. [4][6] Both paths share the same early game, so nothing is wasted either way.
