Kal Online Castle Siege: How the Weekly PvP Event Works

Castle Siege is Kal Online's weekly guild PvP event
Castle Siege is the main large-scale PvP event in Kal Online. One alliance defends Geum-Oh Castle while up to three alliances sign up to attack. The event runs on a fixed schedule every week and is the primary way guilds earn honor points and control over the castle's tax system.
Schedule and requirements
The siege follows a three-phase schedule:
How to register as attacker
Click the Guard NPC in the occupied area and select "Declaration of the war." In the siege interface, choose "Attack Side" and select your faction. Only the alliance leader can apply, and the application is only open during the declaration period. Alliances can register for one to fifteen days in advance.
The siege itself
Once the siege starts, participants are moved to their faction camp through the Master NPC. You have ten minutes to enter the battlefield (from 00:50 to 01:00). After that, admission closes.
The battlefield has four flags: one large flag and three small flags. Capturing a large flag is worth 50 points. A small flag is worth 30 points. At the end of the siege, the side with the higher score wins. If the score is tied, the defense wins.
After ten minutes, if one side captures all flags and holds them for five minutes, the siege ends immediately and that side wins.
Victory conditions and castle lord
The alliance with the highest flag score becomes the castle lord. If flag scores are tied, the alliance with more kill points wins. If that is also tied, the alliance with the highest average participant level wins.
The castle lord can adjust the tax rate in the territory through the Manager of Occupied Area NPC. There are three policies: low tax (95% change tax), middle tax (100%), and high tax (110%). Successful consecutive defenses increase the tax reward, up to ten times.
Rewards and buffs
Honor points are awarded based on contribution:
The Castle Siege Buff changes based on the attack side's kill/death ratio. A ratio of 140 to 190 gives a 10% PVP attack and defense buff. A ratio of 1 to 39 gives 30% attack and 40% defense. A ratio of zero or 190 and above gives no buff.
Tips for new participants
Register early in the declaration period. Coordinate with your alliance on which flags to target. Focus on the large flag for the biggest point swing. Stay alive: dying resets your position and wastes time. Watch the kill/death ratio and play to keep your alliance in a favorable buff bracket.
