Kal Online normal quests: how the quest tracker works and what the early quests pay

Kal Online splits its quests into several types. Normal Quests are the quick ones: you take them from a local NPC, finish them nearby, and hand them back. Rewards are experience and items, and both grow as you move from one town to the next.

Finding and tracking a quest

Press the Q hotkey or click the Quest button in the top right corner to open your quest list. Tick the checkbox next to a quest to open the Quest Notice panel, which shows the target and how many you still need. To see where that target lives, open the Quest tab in the World Map with the comma hotkey and click a quest from your list. The monster's location is then drawn on the map.

What the early quests pay

Each town covers its own level band. In Narootuh village the first Normal Quests come from the village Guard and from Jang-Gun, among others.

Level 1 Guard, Subduing the Demon Vulgar: 3 experience, 20 small medicine.
Level 1 Guard, Subduing the Demon Scout: 15 experience, 5 speed up medicine.
Level 1 Jang-Gun, Subduing the Demon Spearhead: 53 experience, 5 party scrolls to Narootuh.
Level 5 Guard, Fishing: 60 experience, 30 small medicine.
Level 5 Jang-Gun, Subduing the Wild Small Demon: 137 experience, 1 ring.
Level 5 Jang-Gun, Subduing the Wild Demon Scout: 204 experience, 30 small medicine.
Level 9 Shigeun, Subduing the Demon Scout Commander: 494 experience, 5 speed up medicine.
Level 10 Guard, Subduing the Suicide Bomber: 785 experience, 1 talisman.
Level 13 Mak-AnSoo, Subduing the Wild Demon Carcass Scavenger: 3,339 experience, 5 speed up medicine.
Level 13 Mak-AnSoo, Subduing the Wild Demon Escort Soldier: 4,172 experience.

At Jook-Suh Cargo Station the numbers jump again. The level 16 quests from the Chief Guard and Guard pay between 4,873 and 5,057 experience, and the level 24 quests from Jae-Hyeok pay 15,185 each, with one of them handing out a Trinket and another giving 5 individual scrolls to Geum-Oh Mine.

Two patterns are worth noticing. Quests come in pairs and triples from the same NPC and cover the same level, so you usually take all of them at once. And not every quest has a reward item; the table leaves that column blank for several of them, including the level 13 Escort Soldier quest above.

The source is a reward table, so it lists experience and items only. It does not give spawn timers, drop rates, or how long each mob takes to kill.
