The six stages
The official page lists the Knight tree in this order:
- Wandering Knight: strong at infighting, but not specialized in offense or defense.
- Apprentice Knight: the first step, where you learn the Knight's basic skills.
- Commander: specialized in defense and gets skills to control its ability, with offense about average.
- Vagabond Swordman: specialized in offense, with defense about average.
- General: specialized in defense, with skills that increase allies' abilities.
- God of Sword: battle skills go mostly on offense and give up some defense. Weapon skills are great, but the page says there may be limits on shield and armor skills.
The descriptions suggest two lines after the Apprentice stage. Commander and General are the defensive pair, and the General adds skills that raise allies' abilities, which would matter in a party. Vagabond Swordman and God of Sword are the offensive pair, and the God of Sword gives up some defense to get there. These are the descriptions the official site gives, not a tier list, and I have not tested the skills on every server.
Check before you commit
- The official site and Inixsoft's own product page describe the base jobs as Knight, Archer, Magician, Thief, Shaman and SwordTrickster, with 32 jobs in total. A private server may differ from the official game, so check what yours offers.
- The page does not give job change levels, so look up the requirements for your own server before planning a build around them.
- The official page links a skill list for each Knight job. Read the list for the job you are aiming at before you decide.
Which line do you run on your server, defensive General or offensive God of Sword, and what made you pick it? If you play on a private server, say which one so others can compare against the same rules.
