Kal Online adds a second password on top of your normal login. The official page describes it as a system to strengthen user account security. It is not a bank PIN or an item lock, and it is not optional once it exists.
When it is asked for
- You pick a server, then enter your usual ID and password.
- Before the character selection screen appears, you must enter the secondary password once more.
- It is created the first time you log in.
- After that, every login needs it after the game login and before character selection. Without it you do not reach the character select screen.
You create, change and enter it with the mouse. The official page states there is no keyboard input for the secondary password: you click an image numeric keypad. The password is numeric only and exactly 6 digits long, and fewer than 6 digits is treated as an error.
If you forget it
Recovery is only possible through the official customer service. The page adds that if your personal account information does not match, customer service will not tell you the secondary password under any circumstances.
The attempt limit
The page carries an explicit warning: if you enter the secondary password incorrectly 5 times or more, the account is blocked. The page gives no in game reset, so recovery means contacting customer service.
