Kal Online Treasure Island: the boatman entry, the restored map, the time limit, and the box drops
Quick summary

Treasure Island is a timed instance area in Kal Online. You sail there from the Village of Narootuh, you need a Restored Treasure Island Map to get in, and one map is consumed every time you enter. When the timer runs out the game sends you back to the village. The point of the place is the treasure chests, which drop upgrade materials, trinkets, talismans and costume items.

How to get there

Travel through the Boatman [Gwang-Chun] NPC in the Village of Narootuh. The official page places him next to the training center and the guild raid teleport manager, so he is easy to find if you already use either of those.

The entry requirement

Entry needs the Restored Treasure Island Map item, and one is consumed per entry. There are two ways to get one:
  • Exchange the Fragmented Treasure Island Map, which drops in the Infinite Tower, together with Document Adhesive, sold by the [Wandering honor merchant] NPC, at the Soyeon NPC in the Village of Narootuh.
  • Open it from the Dark Cube or an Event Box.
The time limit

Treasure Island can only be used for a set amount of time after you enter. When that time is up you are forced back to the village. The official page does not print the exact duration, so plan your route before you spend a map.

The chests and what they drop

The page lists four box types. The highlights from each:
  • Large Brown Box: Silver Coin, Talisman of Defense, Master Yin-Yang Mirror (7 days), Necklace of Holy Hermit, Ultimate Secret Book Fragment, sacred blue and purple gemstones, Soul Fragment of the Wandering God, Golden Celestial Stone, Golden Guardian Stone, the eight Master trigram items, and Talisman of Intensification boxes.
  • Large Red Box: Ring of the Warlord Bear, Ring of the Huntlord Tiger and Ring of the Sunlord Phoenix (all Lv1), Master Prime Eternal Yin-Yang Mirror, Trinket of Blue Dragon, White Tiger, Black Tortoise and Phoenix (Beta and Alpha Lv1), Legacy of Heavenly King Beta Lv1, Hero Relic, and Brilliant Fortune Emblem Fragment.
  • Small Brown Box: Mystic spice, Gold Coin, Absorption Medicine, Water of Eight Trigrams, Mystical Powder, Scroll of Perfect Defense, Scroll of HP Absorption, Baekdu and hanra crystals, Red and Blue Power Particles, Golden Celestial and Guardian Stone Fragments, Merit Exchange Coupon Choice Box, Celestial Orbs, cooked fish dishes, Dark Relics Material Random Box, the water-element materials, and Gale Skeleton bones.
  • Small Yellow Box: Watermelon Helmet, Pumpkin Helmet, Necro Dragon Pet (Epic), Red Golem Inquisitor Pet (Epic), Shadow Assassin Pet (Normal), Cat Balloon and Love you Balloons (7 days), Feral and Might Crystals, Attack and Defense type Yeoiju I, Brilliant Fortune Emblem Fragment, the five brew items, Upgradeable Talisman fragments and binder, Master Prime Yin-Yang Mirrors (1 day), Weapon Costume Alloy and Costume Fabric.
The page also notes that the number of items you take out depends on your own play, so the chests are not a fixed payout.

Common questions
  • Where do I get the entry map? Trade a Fragmented Treasure Island Map from the Infinite Tower plus Document Adhesive at the Soyeon NPC, or open a Dark Cube or Event Box.
  • How many times can I enter? As many times as you have maps for. Each entry consumes one.
  • What happens when the timer ends? You are returned to the village.
  • Is Treasure Island related to the Infinite Tower? The Fragmented Treasure Island Map drops there, so you need the tower running to stock up on entry maps.
  • What is the best box? The page does not rank them. The Large Red Box carries the beastlord rings and the Alpha trinkets, which is the most obviously desirable set.
  • Does the page give the time limit? No. It says the area is usable for a set period and then forces a return, without printing the number.
