Picture of Hell is Kal Online's instance dungeon. It is a party activity, it costs money to enter, and it fails you on a timer. Two grades cover levels 36 to 85, and the reward is paid per grade.
Who can enter
Only a party leader can request the challenge. The rest of the party joins automatically with the leader. The leader pays 10,000 Zamo-geon when the party moves from the Hell Gate lobby into the first stage.
- Chuksaeng, levels 36 to 55. The entrance is the front yard of Geum-Oh Mine near the Northern Gate.
- Soo-Ra, levels 56 to 85. The entrance is near the gate of the City of Priest.
The Picture of Hell has 11 stages: 10 challenging stages and 1 boss stage. Each stage asks you to kill a set number of monsters. Once they are dead, a Portal Stone appears. Destroy it and you move to the next stage.
Every party member receives 3 Rebirth Talismans. A talisman brings you or a party member back without a death penalty, and one is spent per resurrection. A high-grade Rebirth Scroll is not counted against that limit. If a member runs out of talismans and dies, that member fails the challenge and is returned to the dungeon lobby. If the talismans are shared across the party and the pool runs dry, the whole party fails.
The run also has a time limit. It applies regardless of how many talismans are left, and it can change in future balancing updates.
What you get paid
A successful party receives a fixed reward, split between members in proportion to how many survived and their levels. A higher level and fewer survivors both raise your share. Soo-Ra also pays honor points.
- Chuksaeng Low: 30,000 EXP, 150,000 Zamo-geon
- Chuksaeng Medium: 80,000 EXP, 300,000 Zamo-geon
- Chuksaeng Hard: 100,000 EXP, 600,000 Zamo-geon
- Soo-Ra Low: 40,000 EXP, 200,000 Zamo-geon, 50 honor points, 500 honor reward
- Soo-Ra Medium: 90,000 EXP, 400,000 Zamo-geon, 60 honor points, 600 honor reward
- Soo-Ra Hard: 120,000 EXP, 700,000 Zamo-geon, 70 honor points, 700 honor reward
Soo-Ra tracks ranking points. A Play Point goes to anyone who completes 5 or more stages. A Complete Point is awarded after all stages are finished and is worth more than a Play Point. Once the ranking system is updated, the top five rankers receive Items of Soo-Ra High-ranker. Those items are fully enchanted and strengthened, and they can only be obtained through Picture of Hell Soo-Ra. Every player allowed into Soo-Ra can equip any of them.
Two monsters in Soo-Ra are worth knowing about. Doggebi of Time steals a slice of your remaining time in every stage, and you get it back by killing him, but he disappears after a while. Monsters from Hell appear only in Soo-Ra, carry "from Hell" in their names, and hit almost as hard as boss monsters. They show up in every stage, one or two at a time.
