How to read a quest
Click the [Quest] button in the top right corner or press the Q hotkey to open your quest list. Ticking a quest's checkbox opens the Quest Notice UI, which shows the target and the required amount. For directions, open the Quest tab in the World Map (hotkey ,) and click a quest from your list. The map then marks where the monster spawns.
Normal quests
Normal quests are the backbone of early leveling. They are accepted and completed at the same local NPC, they go quickly, and the reward is experience plus an item. The tables on the publisher's quest page list every one, with the NPC, the EXP, and the reward.

The EXP curve is the other thing worth noticing. A level 1 quest pays 3 EXP, a level 10 quest pays 785, a level 24 quest pays 15,185, and by the Royal Tomb the numbers are in the millions. The published table for the last zones runs up to 10,685,097,920,644 EXP for the level 116 quest from Tae-Baek, which puts the early rewards in perspective. Take them anyway, since they cost nothing beyond walking to the NPC.
Repeatable quests
Repeatable quests can be completed indefinitely, and each completion pays experience plus a reward item bundle. Jade, in the Hondel region, hands them out, and you can start more than one at a time. Most ask for 30 kills, with two exceptions that ask for 10.
- Troublesome Desert Scorpion, Desert Scorpion x30
- Suspicious Movement, Skeleton Soldier and Skeleton Archer x30
- Twisted Demon Warrior's retaliation, Twisted Demon Warrior x30
- Xill eradication, Xill and Xill Archer x30
- Monster Solution, Starved Xill soldier and Xill Conjurator x30
- Intruder of Hondel, Master Skeleton Warrior and Master Skeleton Archer x10
- Reducing the number of the Master Wraith, Master Wraith x10
You can perform one daily quest per day, and not on the Kal mainland. Daily quests need a character that has already ventured into the Valley of the Devah. Talk to Noynir in the Hondel region and the game randomly gives you one of the available daily quests. The published example is Defense plans for the Hondel Region, which asks for 30 kills of a single Hondel monster, one of Knoll senior soldier, Knoll Mad Warrior, Wounded Evolve Zombie, Wounded Zombie Conjurator, or Goblin Warrior.
The Game Guide System
Levels 1 to 60 get their own system. The Game Guide System uses in-game NPCs to hand beginners useful information and rewards, and the NPC Seohak is the one who talks to you. Seohak appears in Narootuh, Jook-Suh Cargo Station, Geum-Oh Mine, The Pub of the Giant Bird, the Temporary Fort of Geum-Ohee Castle, and the City of Priest. The NPC gives you a piece of game information matched to your level every 10 levels, at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60, and the system also provides reward items automatically. If you are leveling an alt, that is free potions and gear you would otherwise buy.
