Kal Online armor set system: half set and full set bonuses explained
The armor set system in Kal Online lets you enchant armor pieces with Bead of Fire stones to unlock set bonuses. When you equip multiple pieces from the same set, you gain additional attribute bonuses beyond what each piece provides individually.
How the Set System Works
You need armor of the same grade to form a set. For example, all pieces must be grade 46 or higher to qualify. You enchant each piece with a Bead of Fire, which is available in the cash shop. The enchantment adds attribute points to the individual piece.
A half set requires three pieces: gloves, shoes, and pants. A full set adds a helmet and armor to the half set. When you equip a half set, you get a set bonus on top of the individual piece bonuses. Equipping a full set gives a larger bonus.
Set Bonuses by Grade
The set bonuses depend on the armor grade. For grade 46 armor, a half set gives +2 Strength, +2 Intelligence, and +2 Mobility. A full set gives +5 to each attribute. The total bonus for a full set is +10 to each attribute when combined with the individual piece bonuses.
For grade 55 armor, a half set gives +1 to each attribute, and a full set gives +5 to each attribute. The total bonus for a full set is +10 to each attribute.
For grade 60 armor, a half set gives +3 to each attribute, and a full set gives +5 to each attribute. The total bonus for a full set is +15 to each attribute.
For grade 65 armor, a half set gives +3 to each attribute, and a full set gives +5 to each attribute. The total bonus for a full set is +15 to each attribute.
Enchantment Risks
Enchanting with a Bead of Fire is not guaranteed to succeed. If the attempt fails, the armor loses 1 to 5 endurance. If the armor has too low endurance and the attempt fails, the armor breaks. The Polishing Stone does not protect against this.
You can increase endurance using fixing tools, which are available from the normal merchant NPC. It is worth repairing your armor before attempting an enchantment, especially on high-grade pieces.
Planning Your Set
The set system rewards planning. If you are aiming for a full set, make sure all five pieces are the same grade before you start enchanting. Mixing grades means you will not get the set bonus.
The Bead of Fire is a cash shop item, so the set system has a pay-to-progress element. However, the bonuses are significant enough that many players consider it worth the investment for endgame content.
