Kal Online stat points: how to allocate them for PvE and PvP
Every level up gives you 5 stat points to distribute. You can put them into Strength, Agility, Health, Wisdom, or Intelligence. The right allocation depends on your class, your current level, and whether you care more about PvE grinding or PvP duels. This guide explains what each stat does and how to allocate points for the most common builds.
What each stat does
Strength increases your physical attack (Attack Point) and your defense. For every 3 points in Strength, you get 1 OTP (on target point), which determines whether you hit or miss. Strength is the primary stat for Knights.[1][2]
Agility increases your evasion and gives you 1 OTP for every 5 points. It also boosts your attack speed slightly. Agility is the primary stat for Archers because their main skill, Staggering Blow, scales with Agility.[1][2]
Health increases your HP and your resistance to non elemental attacks. More health means more hits you can take before dying. Health matters for every class, but especially for Knights and other melee builds.[1]
Wisdom increases your MP and your resistance to curse. It matters for Mages and for any class that uses a lot of skills.[2]
Intelligence increases your magic attack and your resistance to lightning, fire, and ice. It is the primary stat for Mages.[2]
Stat point thresholds
Stats get more expensive as they rise. For Knights, the cost changes at specific thresholds. At 50, 70, 90, and so on, each point costs 2, 3, 4 points instead of 1. Strength has different thresholds: 60, 90, 120, and so on.[2]
This means you should not dump everything into one stat early. Spread points across your primary stats until you hit the next threshold, then switch to another stat.
Knight build (PvE)
Knights want Strength for damage and OTP, Health for survivability, and some Agility for extra OTP. A common PvE Knight build puts most points into Strength and Health, with Agility at around 50 for the cheap OTP it provides.[3]
At level 40, a typical Knight has around 90 Strength, 50 Agility, and 70 Health. The exact numbers depend on your gear and whether you have buffs like a tiger stone.[3]
Archer build (PvE)
Archers scale primarily with Agility. Their main skill, Staggering Blow, does more damage with higher Agility. A common Archer build puts most points into Agility until it reaches 70, then splits between Strength and Health.[1]
At level 17, a typical Archer has Agility around 70, Strength around 50, and Health around 40. The g25 bow is the minimum weapon you want before you start pushing into higher level content.[1]
PvP considerations
PvP builds differ from PvE builds. In PvP, survivability and burst damage matter more than sustained DPS. Knights in PvP often stack Health and OTP to survive burst and land their own hits. Archers in PvP may put more points into Agility for evasion and OTP.[3]
Some builds go full Health for Knights (GoS builds) or full Agility for Mages. These are extreme builds that sacrifice damage for survivability. They work in specific matchups but are not recommended for general play.[3]
General rules
Do not put points into Intelligence or Wisdom if you are a Knight or Archer. Those stats do nothing useful for your build.[3]
Increase stats one point at a time. When a stat starts costing 2 points per level, switch to a different stat. This keeps your point efficiency high.[2]
Your build can change after job change. At third job, you may want more Health or a different stat focus. Do not be afraid to respec if your playstyle changes.[1]
