Player versus player combat in Kal Online is skill-based and fast-paced. Whether you are dueling a friend in a safe zone or competing in the Duel Tournament, the mechanics are the same. This guide covers how duels work, how the tournament system functions, and what you can do to win more often.

/duel PLAYER NAMEThe duel ends when one player's HP drops to 0 and they faint. If there is no conclusion in 10 minutes, the duel ends by draw. You can end the duel instantly by typing

The Duel Tournament System
The Duel Tournament is a structured PvP event with three formats: 1:1, 3:3, and 6:6. You register through an NPC. Registration is limited to 100 players and requires level 50 or above. You cannot cancel after registration.
The tournament schedule:
- 1:1 level 50 to 79: Sunday at 23:00
- 1:1 level 80 to 99: Monday at 0:00
- 1:1 level 100 and above: Monday at 1:00
- 3:3 level 50 and above: Monday at 2:00
- 6:6 level 50 and above: Monday at 2:00
How Tournament Scoring Works
Once the duel begins, the individual or team that gets more points in 5 minutes wins. Killing an opponent gives you 10 points. Dying to an opponent costs you 3 points. Remaining time and earned points are displayed in the center of the screen.
If your opponent does not show up after the start of the fight, you automatically win by default. If the number of registered players is insufficient, the duel does not proceed and automatically ends.
Tournament Rewards
Winners receive honor points. For 1:1 tournaments, the rewards scale with your final placement. For 3:3 and 6:6, each member of the team receives points. You can also earn additional rewards based on your activity contribution, which accumulates based on killing enemies, skill use, and number of wins.
General PvP Tips
Know your class strengths. Each class has different strengths in PvP. Some classes excel at burst damage, others at sustained combat or crowd control. Understand what your class does best and build your strategy around it.
Manage your skill cooldowns. Do not blow all your skills at once. Save your most powerful skills for when your opponent is low on health or when you need to disengage.
Positioning matters. Use the environment to your advantage. Fight near walls to limit your opponent's movement. Avoid fighting in the open where you can be surrounded.
Watch your opponent's patterns. Most players have habits. They might always open with the same skill or retreat when their health drops below a certain threshold. Adapt your strategy based on what you observe.
Practice in duels first. Before entering the tournament, practice against friends in casual duels. This helps you learn your class's matchups without the pressure of competition.
